The Frankfort Plant Board, a 60-year-old municipal utility (Electric, Water, CATV, & Telecommunications) in the capital city of Kentucky is recruiting for the following positions. When applying for more than one position, please submit an application for each position you are applying for.

ENGINEER I

The Frankfort Plant Board has an opening for a full-time Engineer I, in our Electric DepartmentThe primary focus for this position will be performing professional type engineering functions with respect to electric distribution and transmission systems; provides technical assistance to the public, Plant Board contractors, and other departments; performs work order design to include extension of both overhead and underground facilities; performs studies, modeling, SCADA, and meets with the public; performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required.  No work experience required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be able to successfully complete drug screening, and background check.

The starting salary is $1,904.80 bi-weekly ($49,525 annually).  We offer an attractive benefit package (includes membership in the KY Retirement System).
